West Seattle Art Walk Featuring Artemis Fernweh
Join us for the West Seattle Art Walk, Thursday, June 8 from 5-8pm at Canna West Seattle and the Culture Shop. We are so excited to feature our talented neighbor and friend Artemis Fernweh. His abstract realism to his art is thought provoking and inspiring, creating a dream like experience in every piece, reminiscent of Van Gough.
You can meet the artist at the Culture Shop during the West Seattle Art Walk and view their collection in person. Get a sneak peak on their website and social media pages here.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artemis Fernweh is a trans man living in West Seattle. Born in 1993 in Tacoma, WA, Artemis grew up constantly making art and took inspiration from the world around him. He spent much of his young life drawing, painting, and taking art lessons. Art became a way for Artemis to express himself and explore the environment around him.
Artemis’ style is bright and colorful with a realistic look and touch of abstract. He hopes his art can bring more brightness and awareness into the world.
Artemis graduated from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA with a dual Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Fine Arts. He has worn many hats from wild land firefighter to professional driver and is happy to currently be working as a barista, dog walker, and domestic and exotic pet sitter. He is looking forward to adding professional artist to the list.
Artemis would like to thank his grandparents, Gary and Susan Udd, for all their support through his life. They made sure he always had the proper supplies and signed him up for several art lessons through his youth. One can still see many of Artemis’ old works hung up in their home today. Artemis would also like to thank his mom, Jeri Udd, for all the encouragement she gave toward his artwork and the time, supplies, and space she gave for him to express his creativity. Artemis’ siblings, Wyatt Hazel and Muriah Huft, have always been huge supporters and inspirations for Artemis throughout the years and he wishes to thank them for all they have done to support his journey with art.
This would not be possible without the support and help from Avery Derooy, Artemis’ partner. Avery has offered assistance, space, and love all to help Artemis follow his dreams. Thank you Cam and Pete Moores for all the encouragement, support, and excitement toward Artemis’ art. Finally, Artemis would like to thank Lee Barrientos and B for them both encouraging him to finally display his work and believing so strongly in his talent.
Prints are available for order upon request and any inquiries should be emailed to afernwehart@gmail.com. Artemis has recently undergone gender affirming surgeries and donations are accepted and welcome to help him recover and heal from this process. Artemis is filled with gratitude for all the support he has received through this journey! Thank you all for your time and support!
