A Poem About Fall by Herb Green
The rain is finally falling
Not misting or drizzling
The rain is finally falling
Not misting or drizzling
The ground is listening
The ground is talking
I can hear what it says
The farmers are listening too
He or she knows what to do
It is moments like this
It is moments like this
That allows them to do what they do
Without moments like these
Plants could starve
And without moments like these
We could starve
Fall rains richen the soil
Fall rains make soccer fields soft
Fall rains increase our fresh water flow
Fall rains allow canna buds to grow big and fat
Just a little bit bigger
Just a little bit juicier
Just a little bit better
Just in time for Harvest Season
May our bounties be blessed this Autumn!
