Time to stock up for Fall?
At Canna West Seattle we pride ourselves on the fact that we own one of the city’s only Clean Cannabis programs at the retail/dispensary level. Why take that step? Because it matters to a good majority of our customers what exactly they put into their bodies, regardless of whether it is food, vitamins or cannabis. They want products that are grown organically and/or free of harmful pesticides, and are typically willing to pay extra for that option.
We have been conditioned as consumers to assume that the label ‘organic’ automatically means expensive. Hence where terms like Whole Paycheck (in reference to Whole Foods grocer’s high prices) come from, true or not. When it comes to products meant for social entertainment, such as weed and beer, the *organic/pesticide-free label often means really expensive, because it denotes an extra layer of craftsmanship. And as informed consumers we may complain about these higher prices, but at the end of the day we pony up.
THAT ALL BEING SAID, occasionally one stumbles on a legit, *organically grown/pesticide-free delight that doesn’t break the bank to buy. In the case of cannabis, Canna West Seattle customers have an opportunity to uncover these kinds of delights on a daily basis if they poke around the store. And this weekend West Seattle smokers have an opportunity to achieve even bigger savings (25%) on a pesticide free, sun grown brand that has played a big role during the Coronavirus pandemic and shutdown – Walden.
While most of us are watching our budgets, Walden is pricing its bud aggressively by selling half ounces for $75 and ounces for $145. Do the math — this weekend a full ounce of 9-pound hammer will run you just over $100. Hello cannabis chefs?! The fact that Walden’s weed is grown by a really cool crew (and I’m assuming named after Henry David Thoreau’s masterpiece) makes it even better. The company’s founder, Kelsey, is like a badass:

Terry the Prospector is the voice of the pesticide-free, sun grown Okanokan Gold brand, which at Canna West is priced similarly to Walden and we love his brand message:
“Okanogan Gold ain’t no artificial indoor cannabis. That’s fool’s gold! We farm and cultivate our golden cannabis the way nature intended; using the sun and glacier-rich soil giving you the REAL smell and taste found in nature while ensuring a refreshing high.”
Both Okanokan Gold and Walden hail from a part of WA state that could use financial support right now following the state’s recent, devastating wildfires, which affected the Okanogan Valley.
