West 5 Feeds Canna West Seattle Crew With Its Comfort Food!
The other day the staff at Canna West was treated to a lunch of Seattle’s best mac & cheese, donated and delivered from our awesome neighbor West 5, and its owners Dave Montoure and Dean Overton. It was the kind of gesture that went a long way with our hungry peeps.
The staff at Canna West has been working overtime to not only manage the public, but also a whole host of new duties designed to combat an unseen virus and provide customers a no contact shopping experience, including curbside service – all which takes a huge physical and mental toll.
That’s why comfort food is ‘in’ right now. It is rich, and filling. It sticks to your ribs and keeps your warm. West 5’s mac & cheese is the definition of comfort food. In fact, everything West 5 cooks up is comfort food. That’s the whole point of the place! If you’ve never had brunch at West 5 you haven’t really had corned beef hash.
West 5’s bar and lounge is closed right now, but the restaurant is offering take out, and like us they are taking added precautions. It is a California Ave business that needs its community’s support right now. At some point over the next few weeks, you will have to make a trip to the grocery store. Why not stop at West 5 on the way home and pick up some meatloaf and mac & cheese to go? You will likely sleep like a log afterwards.
