It’s Sweater Weather!
The coziest strains perfect for fall weather and warm drinks!
The trees are vibrant with fiery red, rusty orange and burnt yellow! The horizon, robust with fall colors, dance with the ever eager wind and rain. It’s my favorite time of year here in the Pacific Northwest. Yes, it’s time to welcome sweater weather!
The harvest is fresh, hot cider is brewing and the smell of pie is carried through the breeze. Now all you need is a blanky, a stuffed pipe and a warm fire. Here are my TOP 3 favorite fall cozy strains and the warm drinks I love to pair them with.
#1 Blackberry Kush and a Hot Toddy
A perfectly mellow indica that’s sweet and skunky. It’s social enough to enjoy a binge session of an action packed sci-fi Netflix series and relaxing enough for a nice deep, restful fire side couch nap.
Smoke up that pie and wash it down with a Maker’s Mark Hot Toddy. Garnish that toddy with extra lemon and clove, and you got yourself a soothingly sophisticated buzz that will last you a few hours.
#2 Animal Mints and Spiked Hot Chocolate
A grown ups version of cookies & milk, this sweet combo is made for the pros! The Animal Mints Cart by Dabstract is potently delicious! Take a few puffs of Animal Mints, wash it down with a Rum & Bailey’s Hot Chocolate, extra whip, kick back and spin your favorite records. Be sure to snap a selfie of that silly perma grin on your face!
#3 Purple Urkle and Turmeric Ginger Lemon Tea
Fall Season is often accompanied with Cold Season, which means some homemade elixirs and earthy medicinals will come in handy. Extra rest is much needed, which is why I turn to a nice and heavy indica. Purple Urkle brings on a full bodied, sleep inducing high. Great relief for body chills, full relaxation and deep, deep sleep.
The recipe for my home brew Tumeric Ginger Lemon Tea – I simply boil shaved ginger and lemon in water for 20 minutes. Then I stir in some honey and sprinkle turmeric over the top. I sip it nice and slow, taking long deep breaths, indulging in the comfort of organic self care.
Those are my seasonal go to’s when it comes to sweater weather! Now it’s time to head down to Canna West Seattle and shop more fall flavors and while I’m at it, I’ll pick up some tasty Scooby snacks! 😉
