Brand Feature: Raven Grass
My association with Ravens is simple. I don’t like them. Perhaps because I watched Damien Omen when I was too young, listened to the Raven poem by myself in the dark once too many times, or because those birds persistently pester the Eagles while the Eagles fish? Maybe there is some stuff going on behind the scenes between the Eagles and the Ravens that we don’t know about, but that never affected my empathy towards the Eagles. The negative association with Ravens was firmly in place until I was introduced to Raven Grass a few years ago.
You could call it divine intervention if you pray to the altar of Allah, and that is because Raven Grass grows the weed every 40+ enthusiast should consider trying, and yet satisfies the wants of the millennial and Gen Y set. Most of the Gen Y’ers that I have introduced to Raven Grass walk away from a session shocked at the power of the 14% indica they just smoked, and in love with the grower’s terpene heavy flavors. A cannabis influencer would break down exactly what those terpenes are doing to create those flavors, but all I know is that when pairing exact strains from Raven Grass versus a similarly priced brand, Raven always wins. It is like eating a jalapeno from a farmer’s market versus one from a supermarket.
What makes Raven’s Grass strains stand out for the over 40 set and weekend warriors?
It’s ability to incorporate CBD into the mix at high quantities, while still producing a surprisingly stoney THC experience. Raven Grass incorporates these strains into all of its cannabis products, which include flower, pre-rolled flower joints, vape cartridges and concentrates. These strains are grouped into four different categories, as described below.
Type 01 – Predominantly THC:
Heady, Stong, Stoned
Bright, Light Rare
Body, Chill, Meditative
Type 02: Mixed Ration CBD/THC:
Root, Heart, Heal, Feal
Bright, Euphoric, Go Do, See Be
Wonder, Inspire, Create, Debate
Chill, Revolver, Rest, Unwind
Type 03: CBD Predominant
Heal, Easy, Balance
Personally, I prefer the simple things in life, so with Raven I opt for its flower or pre-rolls. Its Jack Herer is the best Jack I’ve tried anywhere, its Lavender Kush is a relaxation station that hits way harder than its stated THC percentage and for those moments when I am looking for deep creative inspiration I’ll reach for The Look, in hopes it is available. The Look is often hard to find, but if you do find it, take a leap. It will shock you.
Raven’s pre-rolls offer a wide range of options and here is where that weekend warrior and 40+ crowd can gain the maximum benefit from the Raven Grass experience. The Double Dutch Blend (Frida + Dutch Haze) is a THC/CBD combo that not only gives you a sweet buzz, but also gets you ready to dance! My Sunshine Blend (Gilda + Jack Herer) is what you should bring on your next hiking adventure. It will get you there in style, peacefully and with a huge smile on your face.
The next time you visit Canna West Seattle, ask for some Raven Grass. Trust me, you will become a convert before long. Their grass is great.
