Winter Cocktails Canna Style
By: Canna Babe
‘Tis the season for crafting winter warmers and palate pleasers for family, friends and of course, a well deserved treat for you! Here are two toasty cocktails that will stretch your cheeks with a gleeful smile.
Classic Old Fashioned with Infused Cherry Garnish
First buy a jar of Toschi Cherries and a bottle of CPC 1:1 THC/CBD Tincture. With a food flavor injector, take 1ml of the tincture and inject each cherry. Prepare 1 cherry per cocktail serving. Once all the cherries are prepared, set aside in a cool place.
Next prepare the cocktail. Take 2.5 ounces of bourbon, ½ oz simple syrup and pour over ice. Add 4 dashes of orange bitters and 2 dashes of angostura bitters. Stir for 30 seconds. Zest with fresh orange peel, drop the peel in the glass and garnish with your infused cherry.
The best way to experience this nightcap is to drink the cocktail first and then as you approach the bottom of the glass, eat the cherry and chase it with that last sip. Enjoy the buzz that keeps on buzzin’!
Baked Blackberry Royale
This homemade aperitif is the perfect cocktail to impress your party guests and fill the room with some jolly holiday spirit. It takes a little extra preparation, but is worth the effort.
First you need to prepare your Homemade Infused Blackberry Cordial 24-36 hours prior to serving. It’s a super easy recipe to follow with only four ingredients required:
4 Cups Fresh or Frozen Blackberries
2 Cups of Sugar
346 ml of Vodka
24ml or 60mg of Paradise Indica Water Tincture from Green Revolution
Place the blackberries, sugar, and vodka into a large glass jar. Seal and turn upside down to start mixing. Set aside in a cool place, turning occasionally over the next 24-36 hours or until the sugar fully dissolves.
Once the ingredients are mixed and the sugar has dissolved, pour the blackberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer or sieve, into large bowl or sealable bottle. Discard the pulp. Add the tincture and stir well. Pour the blackberry cordial into a clean bottle or jar and place in the fridge until it is time to serve.
The Grand Finale
When you’re ready to serve, pour 1 ounce of cordial into a champagne or large cordial glass and top with a dry sparkling wine, champagne or prosecco. Garnish with a frozen blackberry and a festive sprig of rosemary.
