Canna West Seattle Partners with Pro Freeskier
Tyler Ceccanti, of Lake Tapps, is practically a Pacific Northwest legend. As a freeskier, he has appeared in a remarkable nine Warren Miller movies, including this year’s flick, Timeless, which opened over the weekend at McCaw Hall in Seattle. He is also nominated for Powder Magazine’s skier of the year award (vote here!). Ceccanti looks like a wrestler and attacks steep ski terrain with that same mentality, but then flips off 40-foot cliffs like a gymnast off the balance beam and often sticks the landing with similar grace.
In the warmer months, Ceccanti transitions from freeskier to wakeboarder and mountain biker. To top it off he also works full-time for his dad’s construction company. He is one hard charging, hard working dude! As a result he deals with a significant amount of muscle soreness, joint pain and in some cases pain from injury.
As we have read of late, a number of CBD brands have taken on the part of sponsoring athletes or athletic organizations. Not surprisingly, Ceccanti has been approached recently by a few CBD brands wanting to sponsor him. After a meeting with Canna West and its owners, Ceccanti chose to partner with them instead.
“Signing myself up to a sponsorship with one single CBD brand wasn’t mapping to my needs or goals,” says Ceccanti. “Canna West and its sister shop across the street offer me a wide variety of choices when it comes to CBD applications, which I intend to use to manage joint pain and muscle soreness. They also offer much better consultation on how to use those products properly than most of the brands approaching me. Plus, the owners’ business ethos maps to my own. This is more of a true partnership than a sponsorship.”
If you want to see Tyler in action and missed this weekend’s Seattle showing of Timeless, tickets to tonight’s show at the Kirkland Performance Center in Kirkland are still available and can be purchased here.
